INKSPIRATIONS COLOUR CHALLENGE #9

Hi All!! Phew that's this week over with...well just about!! and to be honest I am kind of glad.

The week started with my youngest badly spraining his ankle with 2 1/2 hours waiting in the emergency department for x-rays etc, Me continually sick off and on with a chest infection and then of course it has to go through the family.

Sorry I haven't had the time to look at all the challenges this week or even thank the lovely people who have left comments :) I must say that I am mighty glad I did this card last week!!! hehhe

Anyway just a short post tonight, I really loved playing with the colours this week, thanks Keesh. To participate in this challenge click here.............

I have used the stamp set Circle Circus and layered the stamped pieces to make a flower and  I tied the stem using ribbon to create the look of leaves.

INKSPIRATIONS SKETCH CHALLENGE #9

Hi all! Well its that time of day again and boy-o-boy did I have fun playing with this sketch!

I decided that I really wanted this card to be boyish and what better stamp set to use but one of my new favourites SU " Animal Crackers". 

I am a big fan of polka dots and love this new DSP paper from the Urban Oasis pack, and because I love it so much I centred the colours for the card around this paper.

You can't really tell by this photo but I cut some Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon and frayed the edges creating a mane for the cute little Giraffe, also I paper tolled out the Giraffe, and the star in his mouth for added dimension.

If you know me well you would know that I am shocking at cutting out with any kind of craft knife, so I kind of cheated with the top of this tag by using my Scallop square punch, by lining up the corners like you would with the corner round punch.

Yes I know two postings in 24 hours things must be looking up!!

Sean is watching the rugby tonight..... The All blacks vs The French and well I was bored and have been hanging out to do some more stamping.

We went up the mountain today which was awesome and took the boys for a huge 2hr tramp around Dawson Falls!!! The boys had an absolute blast and well..... I have decided I HAVE to get my fitness up to scratch, far out they were sprinting up the steep steps and  I was.....................hmmm lets say I wish I had Asthma for an excuse hehehe

Anyhow I found some energy to pull my stamps out and make a card for Kwerner's Colour Challenge!! Not totally sure how I feel about this card but thats all I could kinda muster after today's hiking:)

INKSPIRATIONS INSPIRATION CHALLENGE #8

Firstly I just want to take the time to say that I apologise for not doing any blog surfing this week I really love checking out all the challenge entries and I have not had a minute to myself :(

Anyhow I hope to have a better week this week more stamping and more surfing, fingers crossed hehehe

Well the Inspirational photo this week was superb I really love these colours together Sahara Sand and Kiwi Kiss, don't need much Inspiration for this combo.

The stamp set I used was SU Fifth Avenue, I stamped in craft white ink and white embossed, I layered the image using coordinating DSP paper urban oasis and urban garden, I have seen quite a few paper flowers around and thought that I would try giving the edges a bit of texture and I think that it makes the rose look that bit more real.

Embellishments used were the lovely Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon and a Designer button from the button bouquet.

INKSPIRATIONS COLOUR CHALLENGE #8

Hmmmmm..................This was a very big challenge for me today, I wouldn't normally play with this colour arrangement so it was good to get out of my comfort zone, thanks Keesh :)

I LOVE this little stamp set SU Tart & Tangy and I think the colours are soooo fun and bright you could hardly go wrong .............but I must admit 2 hours later and it was over red rover, I had one of those mental blocks half way through nothing was going right!!!!!!!!!!! I had to come to my senses and wrap it up and call it done or there would be no card tonight to post lol.

I have paper tolled the fruit out and layered the card with coordinating ribbon cardstock, DSP etc

Well I better not babble any longer I have 1o mins to post this,
