INKSPIRATIONS SKETCH CHALLENGE #14

Hi all!! I have finally made it!! I have had a hectic weekend and I won't bore you here with all the details hehe.

But I must say this sketch is the mother of all sketches I LOVED IT thanks Keesh.

I used the DSP " Bella Rose" and the stamp sets "Garden Wimsey" and also " Live like you mean it"

You really must give this sketch a go!! It didn't take long at all to whip up, the hard thing is choosing the colours and stamps.

INKSPIRATIONS COLOUR CHALLENGE #13

Well hello again!!

By the time you have finished reading this post I should have arrived in Thames, which is in the Coromandel, and hopefully Sean and I are still talking to each other!! hehe

Okay maybe I get a little car sick and border line paranoia, as I don't like heights and winding roads and well traveling full stop! And my three little punks who sit at the back keep reminding me how high Mount Messenger is, and I start ranting words like  SLOW DOWN and OHH MY GOD and well....... the fighting begins,hehe all the way till arrival.

Which by the way is about 5 hours!

Anyway onto the exciting stuff! Keesh has whipped up a awesome colour combo for us this week!

I honestly think I must work better under pressure because this little bundle came together in no time, and I have had literally NO TIME!!

I love my new stamp set "Winter Post" I wasn't completely sold on the two ice skaters in this set ( I so love the reindeer and snowflake) but inked it up anyway.

To achieve the faded snowflake background on my main stamped image, I stamped the snow flake in Versamark and applied chocolate chip chalk very softly to it.

INKSPIRATIONS SKETCH CHALLENGE #13

Its almost the end of a very busy week!! Whoop Whoop bring on the weekend.

I decided that it was about time to start making my Christmas cards! I love Christmas and always run out of cards, so this year I am starting early. hehe

I really enjoyed Keesha's sketch challenge this week It wasn't hard to get into the groove.

Because of the shape of the card I used my favourite xmas stamp set I own "Holiday Lineup", using my new water colour crayons which by the way if you don't own  are a must.

I added Dazzling Diamonds to the antenna's and red nose, just to make it sparkle. hehe

INKSPIRATIONS COLOUR CHALLENGE #12

Good evening!

It was lovely to take a break last week from  Makeesha's challenge, but boy I was ready to get back into this week!

I have used the stamp set "Boatloads of love" because this colour combo screamed fun! hehe

I used some small retired Real Red buttons that I had collecting dust, the DSP is from the packs "Windsor Knot" and "Walk in the Park".

I paper pieced different DSP on the boat which can be a little different than colouring, plus I sometimes reckon its a lot faster.

My husband got given some rugby tickets to go see a game tonight with a friend so I have some girls coming around tonight!! whoop whoop bring on the weekend.

INKSPIRATIONS SKETCH CHALLENGE #12

Good evening! 

This was a fun sketch to do today from the lovely keesh..... and to get me into the mood I used this stamp set "Holiday Lineup", I have been wanting to play with this stamp for such a long time.

I used some of my favourite DSP from "Sweet Slumber Specialty" and inked up the sweetest little snow flake stamp that belongs to the set "Short & Sweet".

I inked and distressed the edges to give it a rustic look.

The oval is cut from my nestibilities and I added a little Dazzling Diamonds to the stamped image just to jazz it up a little.

INKSPIRATIONS COLOUR CHALLENGE #11

Hello sorry about the delay click on Keesha's blog here to read why!

Ok I know that these colours are what you would often use for a boy's card and yes I badly wanted to make a boy's card with buttons and coordinating ribbon etc, but as soon as I grabbed the stamps I thought well that would be a typical Amy card and so I challenged myself to a.....No boy's card with No buttons and well I just couldn't keep to the No ribbon part.

I have been dying to ink up my new stamp set "Petal Pizzazz" and what a treat she is.

In the centre of the middle flower I have used a filigree brad adhered with a Pumpkin Rhinestone Brad just to pizzazz it up some more.

I actually used two different DSP papers for the background, two that I normally wouldn't put together, but it kind of worked, both are from the 'Washington Apple' series.

INKSPIRATIONS INSPIRATION CHALLENGE #8

Firstly I just want to take the time to say that I apologise for not doing any blog surfing this week I really love checking out all the challenge entries and I have not had a minute to myself :(

Anyhow I hope to have a better week this week more stamping and more surfing, fingers crossed hehehe

Well the Inspirational photo this week was superb I really love these colours together Sahara Sand and Kiwi Kiss, don't need much Inspiration for this combo.

The stamp set I used was SU Fifth Avenue, I stamped in craft white ink and white embossed, I layered the image using coordinating DSP paper urban oasis and urban garden, I have seen quite a few paper flowers around and thought that I would try giving the edges a bit of texture and I think that it makes the rose look that bit more real.

Embellishments used were the lovely Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon and a Designer button from the button bouquet.

INKSPIRATIONS COLOUR CHALLENGE #7

Good Evening and it's that time of the week again!!! I really can't believe how quick this week has already gone.

This was a very exciting week for me as my husband and I have decided to home school our three children. So I had a lot to do to get organized and that included unpacking 29kg worth of books from America. The week has been a blast and I think the children even enjoyed themselves, LOL.  Anyway on with the challenge.

The Colours  this week really tied in with a retired DSP paper called OUTLAW that has been collecting dust in my house since the new catty :) actually the whole range of papers is perfect for this challenge and it was hard deciding which paper to use, so I decided to paper tole out the girls dresses in a few of the different papers. 

I am loving this new Chocolate Chip Designer Button from the latte packet, tied with the new Chocolate Chip 1/4 grosgrain ribbon.

This SU, 'All in the Family' stamp set has the most gorgeous accessories to go with it, I have the new 'Family Accessories Too' stamps on my wish list. And don't forget to check out the other amazing design team member entries by going to Makeesha's blog

INKSPIRATIONS COLOUR CHALLENGE #5 TAKE TWO

Hi Again!! Here is the other card that I made for keesh's challenge!!

It was good making a card that wasn't cute for a change! And who doesn't love red poppies?

I really do love this SU level one hostess set.

I really got into the distressing and sponging technique on this card to give it an aged look not that the photo really gives it justice, and I couldn't help but use some coordinating DSP paper for the background.

INKSPIRATIONS COLOUR CHALLENGE #5

Good Afternoon I had a few spare hours so I thought that I would do Keesh's colour challenge for this week!! I had so much fun using these colours that I manage to make two cards-I will up load my other creation after I have made tea and cleaned up all my mess! How long does it take you to clean up your mess?

I will be sorry to see my favourite in colour Soft Sky go its such a beautiful colour to work with!

Again I have used SU Fishy Friends which is retiring soon - I paper tolled different parts of the fish adding Dazzling Diamonds to bling him up a bit!

And I also wanted to mention that I didn't add any DSP paper to this image it was all stamped so hopefully Tracey notices hehe.

Good afternoon!! I have been sick with the flu/chest infection for a couple of days still not 100% but feeling a lot better today.

I found Keesh's sketch hard to do this week not sure if it was the colours I chose -or the stamp set but it took me ages and I still don't really like the card!

Oh well I have wrapped it up and called it done for today!!

INKSPIRATIONS INSPIRATION CHALLENGE #4

Good evening!!! I have been chomping at the bit to do keesh's challenge and tonight I finally got to play!!! (YEAH)

When I saw this Inspiration photo the apples seem to stand out to me..............I know that the SU Tart and Tangy is retired but I love this stamp set, and I couldn't resist inking it up like a long lost friend.

The colours I used were Bashful Blue and Real Red, with coordinating DSP paper.

I really went to town with the paper tolling to really make those apples stand out.........and since I didn't have a lot of colouring to do with this stamp set, also I put a little Dazzling Diamonds on the pips.
